DescriptionSummary:
Provides care under supervision of physician or registerednurses for clinic patients, according to established standards andpractices. Performs various lab procedures when necessary and inaccordance with competency.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the physician; performsbasic patient care duties including, but not limited to, obtainingvital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens[including phlebotomy (specific to site). Assists provider(s) inexamination and treatment of patients and with procedures. Assistwith patient flow through the clinic.
- Answersphone/records phone messages, and assists provider(s) with patientrelated calls. Assists in scheduling test appointment, results andpre-certification. Documents any information related to patient.Assists provider(s) with medication refills.
- Administers medications/immunizations according to providerorder.
- Cleans and restocks exam rooms. Cleansequipment in accordance with policy. Orders stock supplies fromsupply department (specific to site maintains sterile technique andutilizes universal protocol.
- Performs routineclerical duties assigned, including but not limited to locatingpatient charts, filing and the completion of routineforms.
- Attends/completes required meetings andin-service training and performs other duties asassigned
Requirements:
- LPN CERT
- LPN License instate of employment orcompact
- BLS
