Statement of Purpose:

Our dedicated physicians are committed to ensuring the highest standard of clinical services. This includes offering direct patient care while adhering to all applicable federal and state regulations, Medical Staff Bylaws, and policies. Our Clinic Physicians are accountable to relevant Medical Staff Committee(s) and the MEC for clinical matters, and they report their administrative responsibilities to the Vice President of Finance.

Qualifications:

- Candidates must hold an M.D. or D.O. license to practice medicine in South Dakota, along with current State and Federal Narcotics licensure.

- ATLS certification is required, and board certification in their specialty is expected within two years of completing residency.

- Active membership within Medical Staff is a prerequisite.

- This role necessitates strong social sensitivity and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, groups, healthcare professionals, and external parties. The Clinic Physician must exhibit leadership qualities and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Activities:

- Clinic-related responsibilities, including administrative duties not provided by the hospital.

- Ensuring the quality of medical care meets or exceeds established standards.

- Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, ethical standards, professional requirements, and licensure standards.

- Adherence to clinics medical staff Bylaws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and practices.

- Collaboration with clinic for work schedules and documentations.

2. Administrative Activities:

- Active Staff membership at clinic.

- Working closely with the Administration and Clinic Director to integrate services, develop policies, and maintain quality control.

- Collaboration with clinic in equipment selection, requisitions, and payment management.

- Conducting patient satisfaction surveys and other duties as assigned.

3. Personal Activities:

- Adjusting schedules to meet clinic needs.

- Maintaining confidentiality and a professional appearance.

4. Communication Activities:

- Seeking assistance from the proper authority when necessary.

- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with physicians.

5. Safety Activities:

- Adherence to hospital safety rules and procedures.

- Following infection control and safety protocols.

- Keeping the work area safe and reporting hazards promptly.

6. Customer Activities:

- Recognizing patients, visitors, physicians, and staff as customers.

- Understanding customer relations and managing positive interactions.
